WHO WE ARE

The Dalenius Agency goal is to develop and maintain preferred clientele, to provide quality insurance and related programs, and to maintain product knowledge in order to provide the best recommendations for insurance protection to clients and prospective clients.

We provide professional and courteous service to all clients, including an annual review of each client's insurance program. We aim to be a premier agency in University Place and the Tacoma area. We aim to reinvest in and serve the community

The Dalenius Agency was founded in 1995 by owner, Ruth Dalenius. Ruth has been in the insurance industry since 1983. She is a licensed agent in Washington State and has been licensed in Idaho State. She has worked as a secretary, customer service representative, and district training assistant before starting The Dalenius Agency.

Elisa Linton is the full time Agency Manager. She has been on staff full time since August of 2000, and worked part time prior to that. She handles billing questions, office administration, policy updates, marketing, and most customer service issues. She set up a program to distribute Child ID Kits to local day care and children programs. In 2003 and 2004 we have made available over 2500 FREE Child ID Kits.

Ruth is a member of the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce and is President in the University Place/Fircrest Division, on the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committeee. In the University Place/Fircrest Division she has served as a Chairperson of the Marketing and Membership Committee. She is a member and Immediate Past President of the Tacoma-Pierce County Insurance Women Association. Ruth has served as a director of this group two terms, as Secretary, Vice President, and President. Ruth received "The Farmers Unsung Hero Award" from KIRO Mariners Radio for service to the community in 2000.
